Staff Nurse RN Position – Access Center:  Full Time 37.5 Hours per week, benefit eligible.
Schedule determined by clinic needs, may include weekend hours.  Under the direct supervision​​​​​​​ of the Nurse Supervisor, the Staff nurse serves as a member of a multidisciplinary team, providing services to patients receiving Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).

Professional Requirements: The ideal candidate must possess current RN license and have a valid CT Driver’s License. Prior experience in the mental health and/or substance abuse field preferred.

IT Customer Support: Full Time 37.5 Hours per week, benefit eligible.
Schedule will include Saturdays: This is a front line information technology support position. Primary responsibilities will include provisioning users with workstation equipment, access to application and network resources as well as help desk assistance. Must be comfortable troubleshooting with staff and providing on site assistance as necessary. Travel to different clinics in own vehicle is a must. We are looking for someone who has excellent customer services skills; is dependable/adaptable; displays technical competence needed to perform the job duties and strives to continually improve performance.

Professional Requirements: Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field. May consider equivalent combination of technical certification, education and experience. Technical Support/Help Desk/End User training experience preferred. Must have valid CT Driver’s License and be able to use own vehicle to drive to/from clinics as needed. Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Provide group and individual counseling to patients receiving Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) through a comprehensive, recovery oriented and trauma informed treatment process. Additional responsibilities include: conducting evaluations, outreach and ongoing support.

Professional Requirements: Master’s Degree + licensed by the state of CT (LPC, LADC, LCSW, LMFT). Licensed individuals preferred, but will consider an individual who is within 18 months of receiving a license.

Project Coordinator: Full time, 37.5 hours per week + benefits.  Schedule determined by project need.  Primary Foci: to interact and communicate with both internal and external contacts on a variety of projects; to coordinate the activities of the multidisciplinary team; to monitor timely completion of all projects’ milestones and recruitment goals; to organize and analyze data for presentations and publications; to write relevant reports, including but not limited to progress reports, grant renewal, letters of collaboration, memoranda of agreement, and other matters as directed.

Professional Requirements:  Master’s level preferred. 4-5 years relevant experience, including experience overseeing a multi-site program.  Extensive experience with research, organizational, budget and management skills. Superb interpersonal, writing and communication skills. The Project Coordinator will work under the general supervision of the CEO or her designee.

Recovery Coach: North Haven. Full Time 37.5 hours + benefits, schedule determined by program need. This is a grant funded position.  Available funds for this position are contingent upon continued grant funding. The successful candidate will utilize personal recovery experience and training to assist individuals, families, couples, and groups with engagement into substance use treatment, accessing and utilizing resources, and managing substance use disorders. Assesses client needs, plans and links appropriate services, advocates for and monitors client needs to ensure the provision of comprehensive services to meet identified client needs. Ongoing interaction with individuals who have been diagnosed with severe and chronic mental illness and/or substance abuse diagnoses.

Professional Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience or Associate’s degree in a mental health or human services discipline with 2 years of relevant experience preferred. Requires current, valid Connecticut driver’s license. Recovery Support Specialist Certification from Advocacy Unlimited, Recovery Coach Certification from CCAR, or an equivalent certification related to the field of Recovery Support required or must obtain within one year of hired. Ability to provide a strength based, client centered approach to the delivery of service. Should be able and comfortable with assessment tools. Experience working with primary care preferred.

Counselor: North Haven. Full Time 37.5 hours + benefits, Schedule determined by program need. Provides group and individual counseling to patients receiving MH/SA treatment in one of our Outpatient Facilities through comprehensive recovery-oriented and trauma informed treatment planning and implementation. Meet weekly with Clinical Supervisor and/or Program Director to review caseloads, and for clinical supervision and professional development. Participates in weekly treatment team, counselor and staff meetings to review patient treatment plans and reports to facilitate patient interventions and agency initiatives. Attendance is punctual and reliable, and necessary absences are planned in advance.

Professional Requirements: BA or BS in Human Service field, CADAC or CAC Certification + Experience

Food Services Associate: Full Time 37.5-hour week, + benefits.  Scheduled determined by program need.  The Food Service Associate is supervised by the Food Services Coordinator and is responsible for the day to day food services operation at our Residential Services Division.  Must act in accordance with all USDA, DPH, Child Nutrition program standards and Regulations.  Attendance and reliability are a crucial function to this position.  Weekends and holidays are required. Must maintain patient confidentiality and all times.

Staff Psychiatrist – General Purpose: Under the general direction and supervision of the APT Medical Director, is responsible for the psychiatric care, including care for substance use disorders of patients at the APT Foundation. Provides direct services and clinical supervision and performs related administrative duties. Provides scheduled periodic-on call consultation for after-hours calls and psychiatric emergencies and arranges care as appropriate and on-call consultation for MOUD dispensing and admissions. Is responsible for appropriate documentation of all medical/psychiatric services in accordance with agency policy and procedures.

Professional Requirements: M.D. degree and Connecticut license; minimum of 5 years as MD. Must have Addiction Psychiatry training. Experience in providing medical education preferred. Must possess DEA License and waiver.

Clinic Safety Staff: Full Time, 36 hours: 4 (9 hour) days + benefits. Schedule determined by clinic needs–will include early mornings and Saturdays. The safety staff monitors program area and grounds to ensure safety of all staff and patients during medicating hours. Assists clinic staff in managing crowds in the lobby and medicating areas during high volume periods. Provides backup assistance to staff and patients. Must maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Professional Requirements: Minimum 1 year experience in security position with valid CT Guard Card preferred, or equivalent work experience. Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Maintenance Worker 1: Full time 37.5 hours per week + benefits. Duties include but are not limited to the following: general repairs such as painting, patching walls, hanging shelves and landscaping; moving and arranging office equipment such as desks, file cabinets, and other office supplies; inspecting the assigned building daily for adequate heat, lighting and ventilation to confirm that these systems are working properly and are properly cleaned; performing janitorial tasks as required; supervising the receipt and shipment of various materials and/or equipment; other tasks as assigned. Must be available for after-hours emergencies and possible on call hours as needed.

Professional Requirements: Must have High School diploma or equivalent and valid CT Driver’s License. General knowledge of facilities maintenance needed. Trade license and/or certification in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC helpful.

Must have blood draw experience and be Phlebotomy certified.

Under the direct supervision of the Nurse Supervisor, the Staff Nurse serves as a member of a multidisciplinary team, providing services to DOC patients receiving Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD). Attendance is punctual and reliable, and necessary absences must be planned in advance. In addition, the ideal candidate must be willing to work in a high stress environment, must be able to manage multiple competing tasks, and demonstrate competency as a collaborative team member.

Professional Requirements: The ideal candidate must possess current and valid licensure as an RN. Experienced LPN will be considered with a minimum of 3 years in mental health and/or substance misuse necessary. Must have a valid CT Driver’s License. Must be ready to work as part of our DOC team, including eligibility for all DOC requirements including passing their background check.

Patient Care Associate (PCA) Positions – Residential Setting: Full time 37.5 hours per week + benefits. 2nd shift schedule, 3-11 including weekends. Under the general supervision of the Program Director and Residential Coordinator, this is a front line position maintaining appropriate patient traffic flow within the residential setting, including but not limited to: greeting and checking in all patients, providing appropriate diagnostic tests as required by staff, and entering data into APT’s patient clinical management system. Must be comfortable administering urinalysis tests.

Professional Requirements: Associates Degree or 2 years post-secondary education, or equivalent combination of training and education.
