Maintenance Assistant:  provides assistance in cleaning and maintaining the facilities of the Foundation.

Professional requirements:  High school diploma.  Minimum 3 years experience in maintenance work or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.  Skilled in a variety of crafts particularly painting, carpentry, and plumbing.


DESKTOP SUPPORT SPECIALIST provides users with reliable and efficient computer equipment, tools and access to applications and functionality necessary for the performance of their duties.

Professional requirements: Associates degree in Computer Sciences or in related fields, or equivalent technical certification and work experience.  Technical support, help desk and user training preferred.  Automobile and diver license.


Nurse Supervisor, Legion Clinic, full-time,


Provides that all nursing policies and procedures are followed and ensures the safe and accurate medicating of all methadone maintenance patients.  Provides direct supervision to nurses.


Professional requirements:  Valid CT Registered Nurse’s license required. Bachelor of Science degree preferred.  Methadone treatment experience preferred.  Minimum of one year in a nursing supervisory position.  Minimum for two years work experience in a psychiatric/substance abuse treatment setting.


Research Assistant, Yale Moms’ Kids Program, FT (37.5 houurs per week),

 

 

Serve as a liaison between the research team and one of the three substance abuse treatment clinic sites(e.g. attend meetings, process referrals, communicate with clinic staff about research objectives and procedures, and communicate clinic staff suggestions to the research team).


Professional requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a Human health Service experience working in a clinical and /or research setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience working with parents and young children in a clinical and or research setting.  Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.  Excellent organizational skills and good attention to detail.


 

Rehabilitation Counselor,

 Legion, Full-Time, provides group counseling to patients receiving opiate replacement therapy through comprehensive recovery-oriented and trauma informed treatment planning and implementation.

Qualifications: Licensed or licensed-eligible MSW, MFT, LPC, LADC and/or State of Connecticut certified counselor.Two years experiences in substance abuse preferred or equivalent work experience


 

Research Assistant 11, 37.5 per week, (2 positions), serves as a member of a research team that specializes in psychiatric genetic studies of substance dependence.

 Qualifications and experience:  Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably with at least one year of related work experience.  Interviewing skills, preferably psychiatric interview experience using the SCID, SADS, DIGS, SSAGA, SSADDA, or other semi-structured interview instruments. Phlebotomy skills or willingness to learn.

 


Nurse Practitioner

 20 hours, Monday through Friday, to assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examination and diagnostic tests. The nurse practitioner interprets data, develops and implements therapeutic plans and follows through with the continuum of care with the patients.

Qualifications: Certification by the American Nurse Association as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner. Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and receipt of State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Registration and U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration Controlled Substance Certificate required within one year of employment.


Clinician, FT (30 hours) APT Residential Services, provides evaluation and clinical services to adult residents within APT Residential Services who are seeking treatment for substance abuse related concerns.

Qualification: Licensed (Licensed-eligible) by State of Connecticut MSW, LPC, LADC or comparable Human Service field and two years of substance abuse treatment experience or equivalent combination of work experience.
